Most people who visited this blog site are amazed to know that I have the talent in photography.  Some could not even believe that these photos are ideas of my creative eye.  In fact, a friend candidly teased me that my shots are products of Mr. Photoshop; the photography world's Vicky Belo.

Sorry … I am not intimidated.  I warmly accept constructive criticisms.  And I am greatly flattered with all the praises.

Want to know my secret?  I am just using a simple point-and-shoot, old-model, digital camera.  It's a Kodak CX7330 model with 3.1 megapixel picture resolution.  You can checkout the local store near you for more details.

Say cheese… :-)

I must say your photos are good indeed. I see no traces of Photoshop at all. Even if you do, there is nothing wrong with using photoshop at all, unless you are blatantly manipulating the pictures (like pasting a subject that really wasn't there). There's nothing wrong with a little curve, contrast and brightness adjustment, or even some dodging and burning, after all, you are simply improving your work, not altering it. The use of Photoshop for digital photographers is basically the same as the dark room adjustments that film photographers do. I see nothing wrong with it at all.

And yeah, I am very much into photography too and began (well until now) with a compact digicam like you. People are often surprised to find out about it too because they thought I use a prosumer cam (I got a second hand film SLR a couple of months ago though). I believe that photography is a product of two variables: the photographer's artistic eye and the camera. You an have the best camera in the world and still suck. Likewise, You can be really good but sometimes, if your cam is not that good, the camera could dictate the limitations.

Will check out more of your works. If you're interested, I have some pics in my blog's photo album but the more artistic ones can be found at: http://ashknight.deviantart.com (just click on the gallery). Okay, enough of my plugs. :-)

Have a great day bud.
