I have an eternal craving for pasta specifically those stuff with red sauce. It is a bizarre feeling that I cannot explain. Everytime I think of a pasta dish, I feel like a child going after an ice cream.
Thankfully, there are some good places around Makati that offers great pasta dishes. Of course, I exclude those sphags offered in popular fastfood chains. They are out of my taste buds.
One holy example is the promodoro pasta at The Java Man; a cafe located inside PowerBooks along the GB3 walkway. Recently, I have tried their tuna-in-oil pasta. Wow, I love it!
The seafood pasta of Amecci is another type that keeps me coming back to that place. It is located inside Don Bosco along Pasay Road. They serve a number of Itallian pasta dishes that are generously cooked with complete ingredients.
Added to my list is Sabarro at the Glorietta. Ziti with thick meat sauce is my all-time favorite. They offer half-servings which is more than enough to satisfy my hunger.
Today is a Holy Thursday. Being a Catholic devotee, our family practice abstinence by not eating meat until Easter Sunday. During this time of the year, we always have a pasta with sardine sauce. But today, I voluntarily cooked a special Pasta Promodoro with shrimp, spanish sardine, and clams. I used a classic linguine pasta. It was a box-office hit! Everyone in the family had a feast. I must say, the hefty budget should prove itself or else.
I have to end this. My stomach is rumbling. Need to check for leftovers in the fridge. Yummy.
