PP:        You were so wonderful.  That was such a great play.
MJ:       You could’ve told me you were coming.
PP:        I was afraid you’d say, “Don’t come.”
MJ:       You look different.
PP:        I shined my shoes, pressed my pants, did my homework.
I do my homework now.  …You wanna get some chow mein?
MJ:       Peter … I’m getting married.
PP:        I always imagined you getting married on a hilltop.
MJ:       And who’s the groom?
PP:        You hadn’t decided yet.
MJ:       You think just because you saw my play
… you can take me out of getting married?
PP:        You once told me you loved me.  I let things get in the way before.
There was something I thought I had to do.  I don’t have to.
MJ:       You’re too late.
PP:        Will you think about it?
MJ:       Think about what?
PP:        Picking up where we left off.
MJ:       Where was that?  We never got on.
You can’t get off if you don’t get on, Peter.
PP:        I don’t think it’s that simple.
MJ:       Of course you don’t, because you complicate things.
PP:        You don’t understand.  I’m not an empty seat anymore.
I’m different.  Punch me, I bleed.
MJ:       I have to go.  … I’m getting married in a church.  You are different.

viva italia

“The 2006 FIFA World Cup is over, leaving Italy as a runaway winner!”  … These are the exact words I have written when I first drafted this article.  Sounds funny, but I have anticipated the result too early.

My favorite Korea did not made it.  Remarkably, they were not able to enter the round of 16 despite gaining four points.  Both Australia and Mexico got four points too but were able to play in that crucial round.

The ever popular Brazil had a disappointing lost over France preventing them to enter the Semi-Finals.  And with home-field advantage, Germany had a great performance in their last match with Portugal that placed them on the third spot.

It is ironic that Italy became the champion of 2006 FIFA World Cup in Germany.  Benedict XVI, our current Pope in Rome, Italy has originated from Germany.  Just a thought …  :-)

Today is Trek’s fourth birthday.  We started his treat yesterday by watching Superman Returns.  Though he did not enjoy the movie compared to his reactions when we watched Cars some weeks ago, this time he had enough popcorn to munch with. :-)

This morning, we woke-up early to attend the 6 a.m. mass.   He had his birthday shirt on with Lightning McQuinn and Mater design.  Right after the mass, I brought him to Father Toti to ask for blessing.

His special gift is a VTech Learning Laptop.  And his cake is decorated with Justice League characters.   Happy Birthday Patrick!  You are God’s gift to us.
