patient

One of the reasons why I do not want to see a doctor for consultation is because they let you wait for some hours before they get to see you.  I hate it whenever I waste my time waiting and doing nothing other than looking at people passing-by the hallway.  I do not understand why some doctors have no sense of urgency for out-patient.  I hope they always maintain their sense of emergency in the E.R.

Yesterday afternoon, I went to see a doctor for my swollen eyelids.  Expectedly, I waited for almost two hours.  I arrived at 2 PM but the doctor was able to see me at around 4 PM.  I do not even have the choice but wait because I badly needed the advice and medication.  Fortunately, the receptionist is kind enough to check on my condition every now and then.  Her way of telling me that, a patient should be patient.  Anyway, patience is a virtue.
