coconuter

Monday, February 12, 2007

I had been spending extra online hours lately in browsing the coconuter website.  This site is about the quest of a young Fil-Am who gave up everything he has in the first-world-US to live in a third-world-Philippines.  He was once featured in ABS-CBN's Nagmamahal Kapamilya.  But, I had only managed to visit this website when it was recently featured in Studio 23's Digital Tour.

The coconuter is not advocating any cause oriented projects, nor any social works that help aleviate the poor and needy.  Perhaps, his story will just inspire everyone especially Filipinos about the serenity of living a simple life and unconditionally loving the country as well.

Personally, I am not driven by his will to stay in this country for good because I have this plan of leaving the Philippines in the immediate future.  Instead, I am inspired by his strong conviction to follow what he wanted to do despite all the odds, hardships, trials and empty pocket.

This article is my little way of helping him in his mission.  There is a link in his site that provides details on how you can provide financial assistance or whatever.  His URL is http://coconuter.blogspot.com.

Hi there,

Thanks very much for the link. But if you could replace www.coconuter.net with coconuter.blogspot.com then I would really appreciate it (for technorati purposes). Thanks again!

Regards,
David
