This is my first post that bears a Tagalog title.  For those who do not understand my native language, the word means "godchild".  This refers to me being a "godfather" to a child through the sacrament of baptism.  My Catholic faith gives a stronger meaning to this word.  Being a godfather does not only refer to the voluntary obligation of providing a gift to the child during special occasions.  A godfather (or a godparent) should be responsible in leading the child in his Christian life.  Next to the real parent, a godparent can act as a guaranteed substitute in case the child became an orphan.

Hmmm… am I making sense?  I might need to start building an orphanage considering the growing number of my godchildren.  Hahaha..  Here's the list.  In parenthesis are the names of their respective parents to whom I am related with.

01. JR (inday)
02. Klang (ana)
03. Ahad (ruby)
04. Pipay (sammy)
05. Ice (ian)
06. Waki (wendell)
07. Faye (ernest)
08. Max (helen)
09. Enzo (jonard)
10. Angel (lisa)
11. KC (alan)
12. Nathan (cocoy)
13. James (joy)
14. Kyle (faith)
15. Bebang (joel)
16. Bentong (joan)
17. Zachari (rocky)
18. MJ (michaela)

Anyway, this article will serve as a living document which I can refer and edit whenever I need to add a name in the list.  Ey..circle of life… I was once a godchild too.

it’s not to late to give a comment…..well, obviously you’ve got loads of “inaanak” already! how can you manage to prepare gifts for them during christmas??? Do you still recognize them, dont you? is kleng2 still on the list??? hahaha!!! Well, coz she’s a bit shy now and she’s a grown up lady and………..trying to experience the journey of life, she’d been thru to a lot of trials, while we’re away. Which I feel guilty after all the success we have.
