Riyadh … HongKong … Jakarta … Singapore …

"Life isn't a destination-it's a journey.  We all come upon unexpected curves and turning points, mountaintops and valleys.  Everything that happens to us shapes who we are becoming.  And in the adventure of each day, we discover the best in ourselves."  (From a Hallmark card)

The journey continues …

believe & receive

Tuesday, August 7, 2007

“Therefore, I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours” (Mark 11:24, NIV).

Has God spoken things to your heart that haven’t come to pass yet?  Sometimes when we are believing for things, it’s easy to let circumstances and the pressures of life drag us down.  But when you make the choice to receive your promise by picturing it in your mind’s eye, and declaring it with the words of your mouth, your faith becomes stronger.  You begin to feel more confident.  You begin to feel more settled.  You begin to have joy and peace because you know God is working behind the scenes on your behalf.  What are you believing for God to do in your life today?  Can you see it in your mind’s eye?  Can you see yourself healed?  Can you see yourself paying off that last debt?  Can you see yourself at your ideal weight?  Can you see yourself sharing the gospel with a family member or coworker?  Ask the Lord to give you the picture of what He sees when He looks at you.  As you open your heart and allow God’s thoughts to become your thoughts, and you receive His promises by faith, just like it says in the above verse—whatever you ask for in prayer will be yours!

(From Ptr. Joel Osteen's Devotional)

Some months ago, there was this "Maging Sino Ka Man" teleserye aired in the Kapamilya network.  For those who have avidly followed this series, for sure you are familiar with the JB-Celine love story.  I know you have come to love this letter made by JB for Celine.  Enjoy Dhey! … heheee.

My Dearest Celine,

One day I will disappear completely. The letters will mean nothing. The world will get tired of me… You will get tired of me, I will get tired of myself and I… I will never get tired of you. For you there will be no endings. I will say your name over and over like a refrain, my prayer to no one. Then I'll be a flower, the one you'll never pick. I will endure the breathless waiting till boundaries disappear…

With nothing to do, I'll make new constellations. Images of you as I remember. Dancing, sitting, walking. There are stars from a different view but still I see nothing but you. Unfurling like a flower, swiveling like a leaf… I once watched you sleep beside me. It was dark then… but the darkness is deeper now.

Tonight in my dreams, I will see you. My lady, clothed only in light… Like a kite, I've given myself up to the wind,I made friends with the sun, confused the birds with strange and distant voyages… but it is you that ties the thread and holds me down. Like a kite, I will forever hold your hand and with the burning human longing in your hands, we surrender…

Only travelers leave but I've never been a  traveler for I have never left. I'm lost, simply. Wanting to be in a place I've never been and will never be…  Of all destinations, I long to be lost in the fields of your hair, lost among your thoughts as you are already in mine.  My life started when I loved you and that is how I want it to end.

Yours forever,
JB

ratatouille

Thursday, August 2, 2007

It was a rainy night.  Father-rat brought his rat-son in front of a shop that sells mouse traps and rodenticides.  He explains what usually happens to rats who became too comfortable with humans.  He cautions his son to stay away from human kitchens.  He also stresses that rats are not humans.  And that they should be eating garbage instead of clean stuffs.  He concludes that it is their nature and nobody can CHANGE the NATURE.

The rat-son replied, "CHANGE is NATURE … the part of … we can influence …  and it starts when we DECIDE".

(This is a scene from the latest movie released by Walt Disney and Pixar.)
