I just came back from a three-day training in our Singapore office. My schedule was so hectic that I had a very limited time to roam around. Two colleagues from Taiwan have also flew in to attend the training.
Right after the first day, our boss from my Singapore team treated us for a drink at Harry’s. I had a mug-full of Kelkenny beer as he had suggested. Then we had our dinner at the No Sign Board restaurant in Esplanade. It was a galore of mouth-watering dishes of crabs and other seafoods combined with a Tiger beer for a drink. Then before heading back to the hotel, we had another round of cider beer at Durty Nelly’s Irish Pub. Wow!
Ironically, brother Jun-Jun was also in town for a visit due to some undisclosed reasons. Together with sister Dhey-Dhey, I managed to spend some hours with them in Clark Quay and Sentosa. Unfortunately, I was not able to meet all of my friends there. Until next time!
An acquaintance from another office within our building shared with me her business card. I find it unique to see a business card with a poem printed at the back. The title of the poem is "Success". Here it goes:
The road to success is not straight.
There is a curve called failure,
A loop called confusion,
Speed bumps called bad friends,
Red lights called enemies,
Caution lights called family,
You will have flats called jobs.
BUT …
If you have a spare wheel called determination,
An engine called perseverance,
Insurance called faith,
A driver called GOD,
You will make it to a place called SUCCESS.
Sa ilog ang mundo’y tahimik
Akoy nakikinig sa awit ng hangin
Habang kayo’y hinihintay
Na sana’y dumating bago magdilim
Refrain:
Sa twina’y kandungan niyo ang duyan
Panaginip na walang katapusan
Ang ilog hantungan niya’y pangako
Ng inyong pagbabalik
Chorus:
Ngiting kasama ng hangin
Luhang daloy ng tubig sa ilog na di naglilihim
Sa ilog ang mundoy may himig
Di sana magpalit ang awit ng hangin
Habang kayo’y hinihintay
Mata’y ngingiti puso’y nananabik
(repeat refrain and chorus)
Sa ilog…

For the nth time, I have watched Claudine’s Dubai movie again. One of my flatmates own a dvd copy. To my surprise, I found out that the flat where Claudine and Pokwang stayed is just some blocks away from my flat. Wow! How I wished that the movie is real. Now everytime I passed-by in front of that building, I am always looking forward to meeting Claudine. Hahaha!
Another Pinoy made it in the international scene. Vincent Bueno is the grand champion in Austria’s "Musical! Die Show!".
