small world at the airport

Thursday, July 10, 2008

I had a 5-hour stop-over in Singapore during my trip to Manila.  While on my way back to Dubai, I had a 3-hour stop-over.  In both instances, I never expected to meet anyone I know.  But sometimes coincidence happens.  People meet at an unexpected place and time.

While waiting for my connecting flight to Manila, I met Warner at the walkalator.  He had just came out of the plane from Manila and is on his way to his connecting flight to Malaysia. Warner is a colleague from the sunny company.

On another occasion, while waiting for my connecting flight to Dubai, I decided to kill the time by using the free internet service at the airport lounge.  After sometime, I heard a familiar voice at the booth beside me.  I was surprised to see Ian, a friend and colleague from the sunny company.  He was also there waiting for his connecting flight to Manila.

The world is getting smaller I guess.

this is one bittersweet story…its nice to see familiar faces in unfamiliar places. Hay, na miss ko tuloy ang mga bonding times natin, but, I guess, that’s part of chasing your dreams!

Oh well…hope to see you soon, dear friend.
