One of my favorite song is “Return to Pooh Corner” by Kenny Loggins. I love listening to the melody especially its acoustic version. But until now, I still cannot decipher the message behind the lyrics. And I know that there is something in it that haunts and mesmerizes me. I have captured part of the lyrics below. Can you share your interpretation to help me understand this song?
Winnie the Pooh doesn’t know what to do
Got a honey jar stuck on his nose
He came to me asking help and advice
And from here no one knows where he goes
So I sent him to ask of the Owl if he’s there
How to loosen a jar from the nose of a bearSo help me if you can
I’ve got to get back
To the House at Pooh Corner by one
You’d be surprised
There’s so much to be done
Count all the bees in the hive
Chase all the clouds from the sky
Back to the days of Christopher Robin and PoohIt’s hard to explain how a few precious things
Seem to follow throughout all our lives
After all’s said and done I was watching my son
Sleeping there with my bear by his side
So I tucked him in, I kissed him and as I was going
I swear that the old bear whispered “Boy welcome home”
oist! Jong c len to. Tanda mo pa ko? Gara pala blog site mo.. bwehehehe.
Meron din akong Tape nyan (waaahh Tape I feel so old.)
Anyway, it’s a sweet song about a grown-up Christopher Robin finding his way back home. As an added extra, it’s about realizing how the things Chris’ loved as a kid, are now also enjoyed by his child. Cute noh?
So magpapari ka na ba?
bwehehehe tekker dude!
thanks mommy ada and mommy len… iba talaga ang mga mommies, the best!.. =)

Hi Jong, it’s my 1st time to write a comment in your blog.. =)
i like this winnie the pooh song too! malalim sya ha… but, it also hits me to the core… this has something to do with returning… returning to your comfort zone, returning to the basics, returning to “where you can be you”, returning to “home sweet home”… and what is know is “home is where your HEART is”…
where is your HEART leading you now, Jong? =) God bless.
